| The kindergarten programme extends from four and a half years to five and a half year old. During this programme stress is laid on academic domains of language and literacy development and mathematical understanding.|
1. They learn numbers and spatial relationships when they count and sort shapes, assemble puzzles or build with blocks- Gross motor skills. Children develop literacy aptitude while reading and exploring books, singing songs, reciting poems, performing/ enacting pieces of real life situations as a part of role play to understand and develop the true understanding and discerning power to discriminate between ‘reality’ and ‘fantasy’ and thus learn functional values.
